Cybersecurity: From Prevention to Protection

On the 4th of December, Navos took part in an exclusive cybersecurity event hosted by FinTech West and Howden in Bristol.

Throughout the morning, the full end-to-end cybersecurity journey was covered - from prevention and risk management to insurance, showcasing how all areas can work together to protect a business from cyber threats.

Speakers included Navos Commercial Director Chris Greenhalgh, as well as the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC part of GCHQ), Howden, FinTech West and CFC Underwriting.

With many high-profile cyber-attacks hitting the headlines throughout 2025, it really hit home why a business needs not only comprehensive cyber protection but also insurance to help protect their business if it did fall victim. 

Navos were there to talk about the importance of having a cyber security strategy including a robust cyber security solution, immutable backups, penetration testing, and staff training around cyber threats. All of these areas are crucial to making sure your business is as safe as possible. 

The event ended in a panel discussion with all speakers giving their tips and insight into how a business can strengthen its defences, plan for what to do if an incident occurs, and how to recover.
