CALM Charity Football Match

Mental health is an important focus for us here at Navos. Everyone knows someone who might have struggled or even struggled themselves so we ensure it's a topic that receives the focus it deserves.

Back in March, Navos had the opportunity to play in a charity football tournament for the charity CALM. This stands for 'Campaign Against Living Miserably'. Their mission is to unite the UK against suicide and take a stand against it together. With the helpline being launched in 1997 and the national charity in 2006, CALM's helpline and webchat is open 365 days a year, offering suggestions to help with life problems whether that might be relationship issues, feeling anxious or having suicidal thoughts.

Our team at Navos felt privileged to be invited to join this event with the team participating either on the pitch or as supporters. With a fabulous 'Navos FC' football kit our team sprung into action finishing 3rd in the tournament winning 3 out of 4 games. Although we didn't win overall, we did score the most goals in the tournament which is an achievement in itself. It was a great day meeting other local businesses, having fun and supporting a great cause. Navos football club is now in retirement (at least until next time!).
